The 'Cotswolds Area' officially spreads across 790 square miles, settled within the northern part of the southwest region of England and encompassing the six English counties of Wiltshire, Worcestershire, North East Somerset, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Bath and Oxfordshire.

The Cotswolds has officially been named as the UK's largest “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” and has become a favourite location for both the British and tourists from far and wide. Chipping Norton

Chipping Norton is the highest town in Oxfordshire located on the western slopes of a former Norman Castle and is only 20 miles from Oxford with its excellent rail links to London and the surrounding areas. It has been a market town since 1205 and the market place is still in its original location high up on the hill which formed the town centre. It became a prosperous wool trading town during the 15th century and the impressive church of St. Mary demonstrates this new found wealth. It is located in beautiful countryside with breath-taking scenery all around with rolling hillsides and vibrant river valleys offering fabulous opportunities for a variety of outdoor events. It’s an energetic small town unspoilt by the influences of tourism offering a good selection of Inns, Pubs, Restaurants and numerous antique shops. A great place to visit to view a typical Cotswold town with its 18th century buildings with stylish “Georgian” fronts built from the local buff coloured stone.
